Dallara Stradale named Official Safety Car of EPIC Championships

April 10, 2026

The EPIC Championship announces the Dallara Stradale as its Official Safety Car for the 2026 season, reinforcing the championship’s commitment to safety, performance, and engineering excellence across all its race events.

As the car that will lead the field throughout the season, the Stradale brings together advanced aerodynamics, precision handling, and proven track capability, making it ideally suited for its role within the EPIC Championships environment.

The 2026 season marks a new chapter for EPIC Championships, which continues to evolve as a motorsport platform bringing together leading single-seater categories such as the F4 Spanish Championship, the Spanish Winter Championship and Eurocup-3 under a unified structure.

Born from Giampaolo Dallara’s vision of “one car, two souls”, the Stradale embodies the perfect fusion of road-going versatility and uncompromising track performance. Its role as Safety Car reinforces Dallara’s commitment to engineering the safest and fastest race cars in the world, while supporting the demands of a racing platform where multiple championships share the same event environment.

Since its debut, the Dallara Stradale has been in constant evolution. The latest updates in aerodynamics, suspension calibration, braking systems, and fuel delivery further enhance its precision and performance, ensuring optimal responsiveness and stability in all track conditions.

Track-Bred Aerodynamics: Downforce-to-Weight Ratio 1:1

In its full track configuration — equipped with the additional rear wing and lowered ride height — the Stradale achieves an impressive 855 kg of downforce, reaching a rare 1:1 downforce‑to‑weight ratio at 260 km/h.

This exceptional benchmark, rarely seen on road‑legal cars without active aero or active suspension, dramatically enhances agility on track. The added downforce on the front axle improves turn‑in precision, boosts responsiveness, and reduces understeer, delivering a true racing experience.

A Bespoke Safety Car Identity

To celebrate its racing soul, Dallara and EPIC Championships have created an exclusive safety car livery. The design highlights the Stradale’s sculpted lines, combining Giallo Dallara Opaco with EPIC Teal for a bold, unmistakable presence on track.

The safety car also features:

  • A full rear wing configuration
  • Unique 17/18‑inch rims
  • Integrated Airjack system for rapid pit interventions.
These elements originate from the KIT PISTA EXP, developed for the Dallara EXP— Dallara’s FIA‑compliant, track‑only evolution of the Stradale.

EPIC Championships and EPIC Racing Weekend

EPIC Championships was launched in 2026 as the brand bringing together championships, events, and motorsport experiences under a unified identity.

At the core of this platform is the EPIC Racing Weekend, which represents the evolution of the format originally developed by the Real Federación Española de Automovilismo (RFEDA). Building on that foundation, EPIC expands the concept into a broader motorsport experience.

Each EPIC Racing Weekend brings together multiple championships within a single event, combining a dense on-track program with fan engagement, activities, and experiences designed to connect the sport with new audiences.

Daniele Guarnaccia, Lead Program Manager, Dallara Stradale and Dallara EXP

“The (Dallara) Stradale’s role as Safety Car highlights the level of trust placed in its engineering. Its downforce, responsiveness, and stability at speed are the result of relentless refinement over the years. In racing, precision saves seconds—but it also saves lives. This approach is rooted in the vision of Giampaolo Dallara, who taught us that true performance is inseparable from safety. The 2026 season will demonstrate just how far that philosophy can lead.”

Marco Rodríguez, General Manager at EPIC Championships

“For our championships, having this engineering masterpiece as our Safety Car is a true privilege. On a personal level, it is also both an honour and a dream to bring to the track a project so close to Giampaolo Dallara’s heart. He is undoubtedly one of the greatest innovators in the history of motorsport and the absolute reference in Formula 3, a category whose DNA lives on today in the car we use in Eurocup-3”
