As part of the Spanish Winter Championship, F4 Spanish Championship, and Eurocup-3, the entities Epic Championships, the ONCE Social Group, the ONCE Baja Visión Foundation (FOBV), and Sandoz launch the awareness campaign «Your vision matters, take care of it.» This initiative aims to raise awareness about the importance of eye health care in both the sporting and social fields.
The campaign will take place next Saturday, February 28, during the second round of the winter championship at the Jarama Circuit. Its goal is to raise awareness about eye prevention among both the drivers and the attending audience.
The campaign is born with a clear focus on raising awareness and education, highlighting vision as an essential sense for athletic performance, personal autonomy, and quality of life. In this context, the collaboration with the ONCE Baja Visión Foundation strengthens the message of awareness about the importance of eye health and the prevention of visual impairment from an early age.
As part of this initiative, a dedicated space will be made available to drivers and fans within the circuit, integrated into a mobile awareness unit. This unit will be structured in three stops focused on information, prevention, and awareness.
In the first stop, attendees will receive information about the importance of eye health care and the need for regular check-ups. In the second stop, they will have access to advanced ophthalmic studies through the DORIA service, capable of evaluating up to 100 ocular parameters in just eight minutes.
The third stop will be dedicated to an immersive experience using mixed reality glasses, allowing participants to experience how a person with different ocular conditions perceives the world. This will foster a deeper understanding of the impact that vision loss has on daily life and reinforce the message of awareness and empathy towards people with visual disabilities.
This campaign aims to help and promote greater social awareness about the importance of eye care. The initiative is integrated into a sporting environment where drivers enter competition at a very young age—around 15 years old—and where eye health is crucial for their athletic and personal development.
